Father's Day 2011

Father's Day was extra special this year because for the first time I was able to receive gifts instead of just give them - and because I have a new beautiful daughter of course :) I have the best wife (and sister-in-law, who was visiting) in the world and they made me feel like a king for the day. Saturday evening we went to Squealers BBQ restaurant in Mooresville, IN where I got a sampling of my favorite dishes. It hit the spot and as you can see in the picture - Brooklyn was a little jealous while I was eating and not sharing. That evening we played games. The next morning, Molly and Shawna woke up early and made me the BEST omlette I have ever had. It was loaded with everything and was topped with a delicious avocado. I am still craving another one. I didn't have much time in the morning before heading off to my church meetings but later in the evening I opened a couple of presents with Brooklyn and then we sat down to a fabulous chinese dinner. It was AWESOME!! And then - just when I thought that the night couldn't get any better, Molly surprised me with my favorite homemade Tres Leches cake for dessert! That really made my day and destroyed my diet with the very first bite. I have to say I am so lucky to have such a wonderful wife and daughter!

She definitely seemed curious about what her daddy was doing. It is good you had to hold her while eating... very Father's Dayish behavior. Good job, Daddy. Love, Aunt Gail
