With the ‘no baby in first class’ policy for standby passengers currently in effect, our status in the flying world majorly dropped with the birth of our baby girl. It was definitely a sad reality to face!! Even though the number of times we were upgraded was very few and far in between - just the possibility of that upgrade made flying standby just a little bit sweeter!
The fourth of July found us once again on an airplane, this time headed for Florida. Brooklyn did great on the first leg down to Atlanta – and the layover was a quick one – about an hour. There were lots of open seats on our next flight from Atlanta to Fort Walton Beach, so we knew we would make it to our destination and didn’t bother to check the screen for our seat assignment. As the standby passengers were called to board, imagine our surprise when two first-class tickets popped out of the machine! We didn’t object –just took those tickets and headed down the jet bridge!
Brooklyn must have known she was flying in luxury – she slept the entire time and looked good doing it!
- bigger seats -
- Cokes in real glasses instead of plastic cups -
- Sun Chips to snack on -
My mom always says I am too easy to please, and I guess she is right – because this is what I call living :)

You are easy to please and I might be even easier. I would just be glad to have a blank seat by me in the cheap seats... I can put my purse there or lift the arm rest and sit indian style. She did look good flying first class. Love, Aunt Gail
and nobody kicked you out! yippy! glad she was a great flyer so you could enjoy the seats. :)
